Upcoming Professional Development Series
BUFFALO, N.Y. - Trocaire College will be offering a series of non-credit courses for professional development over the next month through the Workforce Development Department. All three courses in the series will be held at the Russell J. Salvatore School of Hospitality & Business on Transit Road in Lancaster.
Learn the secret of what makes a great presentation. In the interactive Public Speaking workshop, individuals will learn the elements of a successful presentation and how to overcome the anxiety of addressing a group. Learn how to keep your audience engaged with a powerful delivery system and “WOW” your audience every time you speak. The Public Speaking workshop will be held on Friday, February 10.
In the Conducting Performance Review session, leaders will learn how to provide effective feedback, resolve problems, deal with difficult behavior and problem employees and create an environment where reviews can have a positive impact on the bottom line. This session will be held on Friday, February 17.
Creating an open exchange of conflicting or differing ideas in which everyone feels equally heard, respected and unafraid to voice dissenting opinions is both healthy and productive. In the Managing Workforce Conflict workshop, participants will learn how to adapt and confront difficult situations to reach a win-win outcome. This workshop will be held on Friday, March 2.
