Administration and Faculty Extend Contract Agreement

BUFFALO, N.Y. -  Trocaire College and the Trocaire Faculty Association announced today that an agreement has been reached by both sides to extend the current contract.

"I am happy that we were able to come to a quick agreement to extend the current faculty contract," noted Trocaire President Bassam M. Deeb.  "The combination of a cost of living increase and a base salary adjustment is a way for Trocaire to acknowledge the contributions and value of our faculty.  It will also position Trocaire to be more competitive in the higher education marketplace to continue to attract talented faculty to work with our students."

The current contract will be extended for one year beginning August 16, 2013.  Faculty Association President Jerry Clark said he is pleased with the agreement.  "Trocaire's Faculty Association appreciated the cooperative effort of President Deeb and the Board of Trustees in working with the association to negotiate a fair and equitable extension of our present agreement."

Trocaire College, founded in 1958 by the Sisters of Mercy of Buffalo, is a private college offering associate and bachelor’s degrees as well as certificate programs in healthcare, hospitality and technology.  Trocaire’s main campus in Buffalo is the hub for healthcare majors while the Russell J.
