BUFFALO, N.Y. - Marian C. Meyers, who has served as the Director of Grants for the past three years, has been named Associate Vice
President for Institutional Advancement at Trocaire
College. With this appointment, Meyers will continue to play a major role in
grant writing, as well as assume additional responsibilities in donor relations and fund raising.
Meyers began her career as a registered nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fl., later practicing as a head nurse and supervisor at Mercy Hospital. She was appointed as the first lay director of the registered nursing program at Trocaire College, was then selected as Dean of Allied Health programs, and later served as the Vice President for Development and Public Relations at Trocaire. After 18 years of writing and implementing federal and private grants at Canisius College, Meyers returned to Trocaire in 2005 as Director of Federal, Corporate and Government Grants.
Ms. Meyers holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nursing and a doctorate degree in educational administration. She has acted as an educational consultant for seven other collegiate institutions and six non-profit organizations. She has served as a member of the Hamburg School Board for nine years, president of the Arthur Buchanan Foundation for five years, and a member of the Board of Trustees for Hospice and Palliative Care of Buffalo. Meyers has been the recipient of numerous awards and honors including induction as a member of the DiGamma Honor Society of Canisius College.
