Trocaire College is proud to welcome twenty-one new members into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Membership in the two-year college society is based upon a cumulative average of 3.65, service to others, and commitment to the local chapter. The 2005 induction ceremony was held on Friday, October 21 at 7pm in the Mercy Center Chapel.
It was an extra special evening for two of the honor society inductees who come from a family of Trocaire graduates. Lynn Meliz, studying to become a registered nurse, is following in the footsteps of her grandmother Barbara Melisz who graduated in 1985, and her mother Patricia Binaxas, a nursing graduate from the class of 1997. Richard Horner, Sr. is also the third member of his family to attend Trocaire. His wife Terry graduated from the class of 1981 and his daughter Laura graduated in 1995 from Trocaire’s business administration program.
