BUFFALO, NY – Trocaire College announces the addition of four new members to its Board of Trustees for three-year terms and the election of a new Chair and Vice Chair.
Michael M. Reilly, Division President for HealthTrac, was designated Chair and Jeffrey R. Hughes, Director of Planning for Hawkeye/Mosaic, Vice Chair. Four distinguished new trustees were also elected: Maureen A. Folan, retired HSBC Assistant Vice President; Sharon L. Hanson, Manager of Communications & Government Affairs, Time Warner; Robert S. McDow, Project Administrator, Buffalo Board of Education; and Michael R. Moravec, Esq., Partner, Phillips Lytle LLP.
“We are very pleased to welcome this well-rounded group of professionals to Trocaire’s board, and I am confident that the college will benefit immensely from the leadership and expertise of our new board chair and vice chair, Michael Reilly and Jeffrey Hughes,” said Trocaire President Dr. Paul B. Hurley, Jr.
Maureen A. Folan, retired HSBC Assistant Vice President, serves on the board of Mount Mercy Academy and is chairperson of the Many Faces of Mercy Giving Circle, a group of women who have an earnest commitment to improving the lives of women and young girls in Western New York. Folan, who resides in West Seneca, attended Buffalo State College and the American Institute of Banking.
Sharon L. Hanson is Manager of Communications & Government Affairs at Time Warner. She is a member of the Erie County Medical Center Board of Managers, YWCA Board of Directors, Goodwill Industry Board of Trustees and a member of the Catholic Charities Corporate Appeals Committee. A resident of Williamsville, Hanson earned a Bachelor’s degree in English/Political Science from Canisius College.
Robert S. McDow, Project Administrator for the Buffalo Board of Education, has been with the Board of Education since 2003. McDow, who resides in Buffalo, holds Masters’ of Business Administration degrees in Finance, Professional Accounting and Budget Administration, each from Canisius College.
Michael M. Moravec, Esq., is a partner in the Buffalo law office of Phillips Lytle LLP, concentrating in the area of employment and labor law. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House and the Kenmore Mercy Hospital Foundation. Moravec, a resident of Buffalo, earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
Trocaire board members are communicators of the college mission and vision and play an integral role in leadership development and fundraising activities.
