M&T Charitable Foundation Makes Donation to Trocaire College’s Capital Campaign
BUFFALO, NY, July 18, 2006 – The M&T Charitable Foundation has awarded a matching challenge grant to Trocaire College for its Inspire Hope Capital Campaign. A long-time supporter of the college, the foundation has donated funds that will be used to modernize the Radiologic Technology laboratory with state-of-the-art digital radiography equipment.
“Like Trocaire College, the M&T Charitable Foundation is an organization committed to the communities they serve,” said Dr. Paul Hurley, Jr., President of Trocaire College. “Their generous support has allowed us to build and grow the college over the years and we are grateful for their continued belief in the work we do. This generous donation, earmarked for the college’s radiology renovation, will allow Trocaire students to gain access to critical hands-on experiences on the most up-to-date radiography equipment.”
The $150,000 gift is a five-year pledge and will be matched dollar for dollar with donations from private benefactors, ultimately yielding a total of $300,000.
The M&T Charitable Foundation gift will have a profound impact on the quality of the educational experiences Trocaire College will be able to afford its students. The new radiology laboratory will reinforce the technical aspects of the student’s classroom lectures and actual on-the-job clinical experiences. This gift will create a positive, long lasting impact on the college and on the skills of health care workers in the Western New York community.
Trocaire College has been educating quality, highly-trained health care professionals for over 45 years. The college currently serves approximately 1,000 students at its South Buffalo location.
