Trocaire College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Full Time Biology Faculty member to teach in our Liberal Arts – Natural Sciences and Mathematics Department.  The incumbent will be responsible for Classroom instruction in biological sciences including Anatomy and Physiology classes and labs. A normal teaching load is 15 credits per semester.  Full time faculty members are required and expected to provide academic student advisement, participate in student recruitment activities related to programs that require biology, serve on college committees, and supervise student activities and clubs as specified in the faculty contract.  Full time faculty member are expected to participate in ongoing professional development toward an understanding of advances and developments in biology and related sciences as well as the teaching profession.
 
The ideal candidate will possess a Masters degree in biology (required).  An earned Ph.D. in the discipline is preferred.   College level teaching experience is required along with course and curriculum leadership.  Candidates must have the ability to understand and demonstrate a sensitivity to diverse ethnic backgrounds, cultures, preparation, learning styles including adult learning issues, and/or disabilities.  Experience with instructing labs is preferred.
