POSITION: DEFAULT SERVICES COORDINATOR
POSITION TYPE: PART-TIME 30 HOURS PER WEEK
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID
SALARY: $10.50 PER HOUR
STARTING DATE: JULY 14, 2008
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Monitor student Default
• Produce reports
• Interact with government agencies
• Contact students and lending agencies
• Monitor the school’s current cohort list
• Assist in entrance/exit interviews and student loan counseling
• Prepare annual default appeal report
• Data entry
• Assists students
• Perform other duties in the financial aid office as assigned to meet department goals
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED with experience
• Associates Degree with experience strongly preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience in default tracking preferred
• Position requires excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to work with students, parents, staff, faculty and government agencies.
• Must be competent with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Access
• Experience with CAMS or similar Educational Database and Internet Access preferred
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment in close proximity to other employees
