POSITION: DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME
REPORTS TO: DEAN PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
POSTING PERIOD: APRIL 8, 2008 THROUGH APRIL 15, 2008
SALARY RANGE: $35,000 – $42,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS manages all daily activities of the Admissions Office and staff.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Supervision, development and evaluation of staff
• Provides leadership in enrollment strategies
• Administers marketing and recruitment plans
• Develops and distributes marketing literature
• Acts as the College liaison to community organizations
• Communicates information to students and parents
• Maintains admissions related website pages
• Reviews student application files
• Collects and distributes statistical data, writes reports as required
• Coordinates scheduling functions with the Registrar
• Coordinates with faculty on course changes
• Certifies student Veteran benefits and SEVIS for foreign students
• Serves on College committees and participates in professional organizations related to the position
• Prepares department budget
• Attends open houses and information sessions
• Oversees prospective student services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Masters degree in Student Personnel Services, Education, Business or other related field or Baccalaureate degree with four to five years progressive management experience in student personnel services.
• Goal-oriented and self motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required.
• Possess high degree of personal and professional integrity and commitment to the missions of Trocaire College and the Sisters of Mercy.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment in close proximity to other employees.
• Competent in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
• Knowledge or experience with CAMS or similar education database.
• Competent in using the Internet for research and recruiting.
