Our dedicated faculty have the resources to deliver the highest quality education within state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories on the Trocaire campus. As a student, you will have access to more than 100 computer workstations across campus. Program-related labs simulate real-world work environments to give you hands-on experience in your field of study.
Qualified staff can assist you by working with you to determine your individual needs as
well as your educational goals. Personal guidance in test-taking, reading, note-taking, math and english composition are available through the Palisano Center for Academic Success, along with learning modules, media, and computer programs in the Academic Computing Labs.
Palisano Center for Academic Success
In support of the Mission of Trocaire College, the role of the Palisano Center for Academic Success is to provide students with the tools for strategic learning, and skills fundamental to college success and beyond. Its primary goals are to promote an environment that maximizes student learning and to support the instruction of faculty.
Academic Support Services
The Palisano Center for Academic Success (PCAS) on the Main campus currently shares space on the fourth floor with the Rachel R. Savarino Library. It offers students a variety of academic support services. The PCAS has a computer lab for: writing papers, internet research, educational software use, web-based learning, and other learning activities. An open Anatomy and Physiology lab, equipped with different models of the body and its systems, is also available for student use. Along with academic program-related materials and study guides, and self-guided study aids, the PCAS offers small group instruction, mentoring, peer tutoring, and group study services in all academic fields. Students who want academic reinforcement in a particular course may request a mentor or peer tutor.
The PCAS provides private and group testing services, and services for student with disabilities. In compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1992, the College provides services on an individual basis for students with special needs, including those with specific learning disabilities.
Students at the Transit site may avail themselves of these services.

9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
*Hours of operation vary during Holidays, Easter Break, summer, and campus closings.
Academic Computing Facilities
An integrated computer network connects Trocaire's Academic Computing Labs. There are over 100 computers available on campus for student use regardless of their major. Up-to-date microcomputer instruction and word processing software programs are readily available for student use throughout the College within five computer labs and the Palisano Center for Academic Success. All academic PCs run the Microsoft Windows operating system and have a robust array of current software providing students with the up-to-date skills required by today's technically demanding workplace.
The Rachel R. Savarino (RRS) Library
The Rachel R. Savarino Library is located on the 4th floor of Trocaire College. The collection contains books, journals, video- and audiocassettes, newspapers, and the Helene Fuld Media Center for the study and review of health science topics.
The Library has Internet accessible computer workstations available for educational research. Full text electronic databases such as Health Source Nursing / Academic Edition, APA’s PsycArticles®, and Business Source Elite can be accessed through EBSCOhost®. Other health related resources are available through New York State Library's Health Reference Center, the National Library of Medicine and from the RRS Library Web page.
The Library serves the Trocaire College community, the Regional Sisters of Mercy, students from other educational institutions, and community members within the Western New York area. All users must have a valid bar-coded identification card. The Trocaire College community uses the college's Identification Card. Other users are issued cards by the Library.
Professional staff are available whenever the Library is open to assist users with their research needs, whether electronic or paper resources. The Library offers individual and group training on searching the Internet and researching a specific topic of interest.
